Overview

For field service companies, the gap between operations and CRM is one of the most expensive inefficiencies in the business. Your field technicians complete installations, run inspections, and gather critical customer data every day — but that information often never makes it into Salesforce, or arrives days late through manual data entry. Zipflow's native Salesforce integration bridges that gap entirely.

When a Zipflow workflow event fires — a job is completed, a form is submitted, an approval is signed off — Zipflow can automatically create or update Salesforce records in real time. This means your sales team always knows when an installation is done so they can trigger renewals or upsells. Your account managers have a live view of every field activity logged as a Salesforce task or event. And your onboarding team can kick off the next stage of the customer journey the moment the field work is confirmed.

The integration works in both directions. New Salesforce accounts or opportunities can trigger Zipflow onboarding workflows, ensuring your field team is mobilised the moment a deal is won. Whether you're running EV charger installations, HVAC servicing, or solar deployments, Zipflow + Salesforce keeps every part of your business moving together. Explore installation tracking workflows and field service solutions to see how it all fits together.

Use Cases

Auto-Create Salesforce Opportunities from Installation Completions

When a Zipflow installation job is marked complete and signed off by a technician, automatically create a new Salesforce opportunity or advance an existing one to "Closed Won." Sales teams get an instant signal to begin renewal or upsell outreach — without waiting for ops to update a spreadsheet.

Log Field Inspection Results as Salesforce Activities

Every Zipflow inspection form submission — pass, fail, or partial — can be logged as a Salesforce task or event against the relevant account or contact record. Account managers and support staff have a complete history of field activity without ever leaving Salesforce.

Trigger Zipflow Onboarding Workflows from New Salesforce Accounts

When a new Salesforce account is created or a deal reaches a specific stage, automatically trigger a Zipflow onboarding workflow. Field coordinators receive job assignments, checklists are created, and the customer is notified — all from a single CRM event.

Sync Asset Registry Data to Salesforce Account Records

Keep Salesforce account records enriched with the latest asset data from Zipflow's asset registry. Serial numbers, installation dates, maintenance histories, and warranty statuses are automatically synced so your sales and support teams always have a complete asset picture.

How to Connect

1

Authenticate Your Salesforce Account

In Zipflow's Integration Settings, select Salesforce and click Connect. You'll be redirected to Salesforce's OAuth login where you grant Zipflow read/write access to your chosen objects (Opportunities, Accounts, Activities, etc.). Your credentials are never stored — Zipflow uses Salesforce's secure token system.

2

Configure Your Triggers and Field Mappings

Using Zipflow's visual builder, choose which workflow events trigger Salesforce actions. Map Zipflow form fields to the corresponding Salesforce fields — for example, map the "Job Completion Date" field in Zipflow to the "Close Date" field on a Salesforce Opportunity. Set conditions if needed (e.g. only trigger when status = "Complete").

3

Test and Go Live

Run a test event from Zipflow and verify the record appears or updates correctly in Salesforce. Once confirmed, activate the integration. Every matching Zipflow event will now sync to Salesforce automatically — 24/7, in real time.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Zipflow integrate with Salesforce?

Zipflow connects with Salesforce via a native integration and Zapier. You can configure triggers so that when a Zipflow workflow event occurs — like a job completion or form submission — it automatically creates or updates records in Salesforce, such as opportunities, activities, or account fields.

Can Zipflow create Salesforce opportunities automatically?

Yes. You can configure Zipflow to auto-create Salesforce opportunities when a specific workflow stage is reached — for example, when an EV installation or solar job is marked as complete by a field technician.

Does the Zipflow–Salesforce integration require coding?

No coding is required. The integration is configured through Zipflow's visual workflow builder and Salesforce's standard API settings. Most teams have the connection live within a few hours.

Which Salesforce editions are supported?

Zipflow's Salesforce integration works with Salesforce Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited editions that have API access enabled. Contact us at [email protected] if you need help verifying your edition compatibility.
